Ear hose clamps (commonly referred to as Oetiker clamps or crimp clamps) are permanent, tamper-resistant fastening rings used to secure hoses over fittings. Unlike standard worm-gear clamps that use a screw, ear clamps feature one or more protruding metal "ears" that are permanently crimped shut using a specialized pincer tool to create a uniform, leak-proof 360-degree seal.
Single Ear Clamps
Single ear clamps feature one crimp point. Stepless single ear clamps include an inner interlocking band that eliminates gaps under the ear, ensuring uniform, all-around compression on sensitive or small-diameter hoses.
Double Ear Clamps
Double ear clamps feature two ears positioned opposite each other. Crimping both sides provides an extended clamping range to accommodate material expansion or variation in hose thickness. The dual-ear geometry provides a degree of elasticity to maintain tension through hot and cold temperature cycles.
